This role involves operating precision cutting equipment during the overnight shift to produce high-quality components in accordance with detailed technical specifications. Responsibilities:

Cut Materials:

Run the band saw to shape and size raw materials like steel, aluminum, or wood based on work orders

Read Blueprints:

Check cut lists, basic drawings, or job sheets for correct dimensions

Measure and Inspect:

Use tape measures, rulers, and calipers to verify cut accuracy.

Material Handling:

Move heavy stock using hand trucks, forklifts, or overhead cranes (training provided)

Basic Setup:

Change saw blades, adjust speeds, and turn on coolant valves

Maintain Safety:

Wear required safety gear and keep the work area clean.

Requirements:

Education:

High school diploma or GED.

Math Skills:

Basic math and ability to read a tape measure down to fractions and decimals

Mechanical Aptitude:

Eagerness to learn power tools and industrial shop machinery

Physical Strength:

Ability to stand for long shifts and lift up to 50 pounds
