3:00 PM-1:30 AM, Monday-Thursday Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Laser Operator to set up and operate CNC laser-cutting equipment used to produce precision sheet-metal components. The ideal candidate will have experience operating CNC laser equipment, reading blueprints, setting up machines, handling sheet metal, and performing quality inspections. TRUMPF TruLaser experience is strongly preferred , but candidates with other CNC laser experience may also be considered. Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC laser-cutting machines. Operate TRUMPF TruLaser equipment and related production systems. Select and load CNC programs for production jobs. Review work orders, blueprints, nesting layouts, and material specifications. Verify material type, grade, thickness, and sheet size before production. Monitor the laser-cutting process and make adjustments as needed. Troubleshoot machine alarms, cutting issues, programs, nozzles, lenses, and assist gases. Perform first-piece and finished-part inspections. Check parts for dimensions, hole locations, edge quality, and overall conformance. Use calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and other measuring tools. Remove, sort, count, label, and organize finished parts. Qualifications Previous experience operating CNC laser-cutting equipment preferred. TRUMPF TruLaser experience strongly preferred. Experience with fiber or CO₂ laser equipment is a plus. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, work orders, and nesting layouts. Knowledge of sheet-metal grades, thicknesses, and laser-cutting processes. Basic shop math, fractions, decimals, and measurement skills. Experience using calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and other inspection tools. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Basic computer and CNC machine-control skills. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality parts. Ability to work independently and follow production priorities. Reliable attendance and strong work ethic. Must be able to pass a practical machine-operation or skills test, if required. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, push, and pull for extended periods. Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation. Ability to safely handle sheet metal and fabricated components. Ability to work around machinery, sharp edges, noise, compressed gases, and moving equipment. IND2
