Job Description
Machine Operator Streetsboro, OH 1st Shift (6a-430p) $25-27/hr Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities Run the laser using the program and setup sheet you were given. Take the cut parts out of the sheet and look them over for edge quality, dross, scratches and surface marks. Check that the material you were given is right for the job before you run it. Read the drawing to see what needs to be checked. Ask for help when you are not sure. Measure parts with calipers, micrometers and height gauges, and make sure they match the print. Watch for slugs dropping out and parts tipping up. Stop the machine before the head gets damaged. Do the operator maintenance on the PM schedule, including nozzle changes, nozzle centering and routine cleaning. When the cut is not meeting the quality the job requires, work all ten steps of the posted troubleshooting card in order before you ask for help. That includes the six steps that use the service program. Write down the hour meter reading and do the daily equipment checks. Tell your supervisor early when there is a problem with the material, the program, the setup or the machine. Cross-train on other work centers when you are asked to. #TPGSJ
