Job Description

Machine Operators Needed! Starting at $24/hr + overtime!! Job Description This role operates and maintains automated production line equipment on 2, 3, and 4-stem and squeeze tube lines to ensure safe, efficient, and accurate filling and packaging of products. The Machine Operator monitors equipment performance, performs setups and changeovers, troubleshoots issues, and maintains accurate production records while working in a clean, climate-controlled environment around chemical batching lines. Responsibilities Monitor, troubleshoot, and adjust 3- and 4-stem and Norden production line equipment to maintain smooth and efficient operation. Manipulate manual fill adjustments and case packer settings to ensure proper dispensation of product into the correct tubes and cartons. Replace and change tape rolls and adjust line speeds to maintain consistent and accurate filling and packaging. Set and adjust video jet equipment to ensure correct date codes and proper placement on boxes and tubes. Maintain all required fluid levels for equipment and perform routine cleaning to keep machines in proper working condition. Complete accurate and timely record keeping related to production, machine settings, and line performance. Perform setups and changeovers for all 2-, 3-, and 4-stem and squeeze tube lines, including positioning tanks under ram presses using a forklift. Execute line changeovers, including adjustments to fill cylinders, fill valves, case packers, and transitions such as latex to solvent filler and 12- to 24-case packer configurations. Disassemble and reassemble machines as needed, including installing fill cylinders and fill valves after maintenance cleaning. Inspect product quality, make necessary machine adjustments, and support batching operations to meet quality and safety standards. Identify and troubleshoot issues on machine lines, performing minor repairs and adjustments to minimize downtime. Follow all safety procedures when working around chemicals and operating machinery, including the proper use of required personal protective equipment. Essential Skills At least 6 months of industrial machine operating experience. Hands-on experience with injection molding machines and CNC machines, with these being highly relevant to the role. Background in machine setup and adjustments for production or packaging lines. Ability to troubleshoot machine lines, make operational adjustments, and perform minor repairs. Prior experience working on chemical batching lines. Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate fills, correct date codes, and proper packaging. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds overhead safely and repeatedly. Ability to perform quality inspection and adjust machines based on inspection results. Capability to support batching and troubleshooting of machines in a production environment. Comfort working around chemicals while following safety protocols. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience disassembling and reassembling production machinery, including installing fill cylinders and fill valves after maintenance. Familiarity with case packer operations and adjustments, including changes between different pack configurations such as 12-case and 24-case packers. Experience operating or working around ram presses and related equipment. Comfort using forklifts to position tanks or related equipment under presses, where required and trained. Ability to follow detailed work instructions and maintain accurate production and equipment records. Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new equipment and processes. Reliability in working scheduled shifts, including overtime and weekend work as needed. Why Work Here? Work Environment This position primarily works on 2nd shift, typically from 3:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m., Monday through Friday, with usual 10-hour shifts and additional 8-hour shifts on Saturdays. Training takes place on 1st shift, generally from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with frequent Saturday work. Overtime is paid daily after 8 hours worked in a day. The facility is clean and climate controlled, providing a comfortable and organized production environment. The role involves both sitting and standing throughout the shift and regular work around chemical batching lines. Team members use a variety of production technologies, including 2-, 3-, and 4-stem lines, Norden production equipment, injection molding and CNC-related machinery, case packers, video jet printers, and ram presses. Proper personal protective equipment is required at all times, including safety glasses, safety shoes, gloves, and aprons, to ensure safe operation around chemicals and machinery.
