The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in operating laser cutting equipment, with a focus on precision and quality. As a Laser Operator, you will be responsible for setting up, programming, and maintaining laser machinery to produce high-quality components efficiently. Responsibilities Set up and operate laser cutting machines, ensuring proper calibration and alignment for each job. Program laser equipment using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) files and CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software to optimize cutting processes. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) specifications to meet exacting standards. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on laser machinery, including Fanuc controls and CNC systems, to ensure continuous operation. Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to verify dimensions and quality of finished parts. Handle materials safely using forklifts and other materials handling equipment, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Collaborate with fabrication, assembly, and quality control teams to ensure products meet specifications and standards. Maintain detailed documentation of production runs, machine settings, and quality checks for traceability. Skills Proficiency in operating laser cutting machines with Fanuc controls or similar CNC systems. Experience programming CNC machinery using CAD/CAM software for precise fabrication. Strong understanding of blueprint reading, GD&T principles, and mechanical drawings. Knowledge of various manufacturing processes including stamping presses, press brake machines, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and welding techniques. Familiarity with tooling setup, materials handling equipment like forklifts, and factory safety procedures. Mechanical aptitude combined with basic math skills for measurements and calculations. Ability to troubleshoot machine issues quickly while maintaining high safety standards in a manufacturing environment. Experience working in a factory or manufacturing facility with an emphasis on quality control and process optimization.
