Job Title:
Extruder Operator Job Description We are seeking a dedicated machine operator who is enthusiastic about learning new skills and becoming part of a small, close-knit team. The initial training period will take place on the day shift (Monday to Thursday, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM) for approximately 3-6 months. Once the training is complete, the role will transition to the swing shift (4:00 PM - 2:00 AM). Responsibilities Load, move, and stack rubber and finished products. Set up, operate, clean, and break down production machines. Package final products. Assist with inventory control. Utilize measurement tools. Operate forklifts to transport materials and products. Mix materials and perform color matching. Handle finished goods safely. Properly use chemicals and bonding agents. Adhere to safety rules. Understand and follow quality policies and procedures. Essential Skills Experience in manufacturing is required. Ability to read a tape measure is mandatory. Capability to lift 50 lbs consistently. Proficiency in English to communicate effectively and complete paperwork. Additional Skills & Qualifications General labor skills. Experience in machine operation and production line work. Dependability and reliability, with a strong work ethic. Quick learning ability and retention of information. Why Work Here? Work Environment This role is based in a rubber manufacturing facility, which has the characteristic smell of rubber. You will become part of a small, family-oriented team and will work almost entirely independently once you shift to the swing schedule. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Beaverton, OR. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
