The information provided below outlines the functions and capabilities required for this position. This role is expected to actively support Beaverton Foods, fellow employees, and customers in a positive and professional manner. The Mixer is responsible for preparing large-scale food product batches in accordance with production schedules, quality expectations, and food safety standards. This role expands on the Assistant Mixer responsibilities and requires strong attention to detail and ownership over recipe execution and product quality. This position, along with the others within its department, is respinsible for creating our wonderful products in accordance with company andFDA, USDA, ODA
standards, safety regulations and quality control measures, in an effort to complete the scheduled production on a daily basis.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS MUST BE FULLY TRAINED IN AND FAMILIAR WITH THE ASSISTANT MIXING JOB DESCRIPTION
- Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of GMPs and Allergen programs, HACCP, Food Safety, Food Defense, Quality Assurance, Hazard Communication, Hearing Conservation, Lock-Out/Tag-Out, Forklift & Aerial Lift programs, Sanitation, Gluten Free, QAI Organic, Kosher Programs, and all other relevant safety procedures that may come up during the job.
- Reviews the daily production schedule with the assigned Assistant Mixer and line operator. Ensures all parties are aligned on batch assignments and sequence.
- Understands Mustard Room recipes, has a base understanding of how to operate mustard tanks.
- Mixes product batches on a large scale, following written recipes and production specifications accurately.
- Responsible for notifying Quality Assurance Manager or Mixing supervisor of substandard raw ingredients or inconsistencies of products in process.
- Follow documented procedures for Lot Tracking and coordinate efforts with Inventory Control personnel.
- Cleans and disinfects mixing utensils, tools, buckets, bins, and general work areas. Completes required production paperwork.
- Notifies mixing supervisor when raw ingredients or supplies are low or missing.
- Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATION, EDUCATION, orEXPERIENCE NEEDED
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. - Six months experience in food processing or food handling preffered.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to perform these operations using units of American weight measurement and volume. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
- Able to read and write in english.

- Food handlers card is not required but shows you understand how to work within a food environment.
Pay:
