Laser Machine Operator

Laser Machine Operator Our client is a complete custom metal fabrication shop. Locally owned and operated since 1995, the organization has experienced consistent growth by satisfying the clients they serve. They build custom metal displays for retail environments, events, store displays, and prototypes as well as providing plate processing.

Basic Duties will include:

To use best safety practices while operating laser machines Locate and load materials into laser, both sheet and tube laser operations Review drawings and nesting prior to loading and cutting Check parts for accuracy. Ensure parts are within specification Ensure parts are organized and identified by part # or work order # Log laser run time on nesting sheets. Clean work area daily and leave area in good order for Day Shift Learn general laser operations from existing laser operators Follow Metal reburn process. Assist fabrication while lasers are not in use Ensure laser bay is closed at the end of shift according to standard procedure Duties as assigned by Shift Lead Essential job functions: The essential functions of this position include: Ability to get along with clients and co-workers in a professional manner Must demonstrate motivation without encouragement from supervisor Ability to detect flaws or errors from a drawing to a raw part or finished part Interpret blue prints, such as architectural and shop drawings Strong communication skills; verbally and written Ability to problem solve and multi-task Ability to work with little resource Skills and Experience More than 1 year of experience operating a Laser Cutting Machine Experience with Amada laser is highly desired but not required. Ability to set up and run the laser machine.

Mon-Fri:

6:00 am to 2:30 pm

Pay:

Up to $28/hr. depending on skills and experience
