Our client, a leading manufacturing organization, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Press Set Up Technician to join their dynamic team. As a Press Set Up Technician, you will be an integral part of the production department supporting manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully within the organization.

• What's the Job?
• + Safely load, position, and align heavy dies using overhead cranes, forklifts, and die carts.

+ Set press parameters including stroke, shut height, feed length, and tonnage according to spec sheets.

+ Install and adjust auxiliary equipment such as coil feeders, straighteners, uncoilers, and scrap cutters.

+ Conduct trial runs and use calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify part dimensions against blueprints.

+ Identify and correct setup errors, die alignment issues, or mechanical malfunctions before releasing the press to production.

• Required
• + Previous experience as a Die Setter, Press Setup Technician, Setup Mechanic, or similar manufacturing role.

+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints, setup sheets, and work instructions.

+ Experience using precision measuring devices, including calipers, micrometers, and gauges.

+ Knowledge of stamping presses and related tooling.

+ Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities.

+ Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a manufacturing environment.

+ Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.

• Preferred
• + Experience with progressive dies and metal stamping operations. + Forklift certification and/or overhead crane experience. + Preventive maintenance experience. + Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
