Job Description

We are looking for an Automated Machine Operator who is less about manual labor and more about technology, precision, and systems monitoring. In this role, you will oversee, program, and troubleshoot advanced, computer-controlled machinery (such as CNC routers, automated saws, and robotic edge-banders) that transform raw wood into high-quality finished products. What You'll Do Every Day Equipment Operation:
Set up, calibrate, and operate advanced CNC, PLC-controlled, or fully automated wood processing machinery.
Console Monitoring:
Monitor computerized control panels, touchscreens, and system diagnostics to ensure the machinery is running smoothly, efficiently, and at peak capacity.
Quality & Precision:
Use digital calipers, micrometers, and automated gauges to verify that finished wood parts exactly match blueprints and technical specifications.
Troubleshooting:
Identify machine errors, clear minor jams, and make real-time programming adjustments or mechanical tweaks to keep production on track.
Material Loading:
Monitor the flow of raw materials into automated feeding systems and ensure finished products are properly discharged.
Safety & Maintenance:
Perform routine preventative maintenance (cleaning sensors, checking fluid levels) and strictly adhere to all automated cell safety protocols (light curtains, interlocking guards).
What We Are Looking For Experience:
1-2 years of experience operating automated manufacturing machinery. Experience with CNC machinery, PLCs, or automated woodworking equipment is highly preferred.
Technical Aptitude:
Comfortable navigating computer interfaces, reading digital blueprints, and understanding basic manufacturing software.
Mechanical Skill:
A strong knack for troubleshooting and understanding how mechanical systems, sensors, and pneumatics work together. Attention to
Detail:
Ability to spot minor defects or deviations in high-speed, automated production runs.
