Machine Operator Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented Machine Operator to work the night shift from Sunday through Thursday, 11:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., in a cleanroom, GMP-regulated manufacturing environment. In this role, you set up, operate, and troubleshoot extrusion and related production equipment, ensure product quality through precise measurement and inspection, and maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work area. Responsibilities Set up and size extrusion lines according to production specifications and standard operating procedures. Set up, run, and troubleshoot downstream equipment to maintain consistent product flow and quality. Set up, run, and troubleshoot programmable or automated production and measurement equipment. Measure finished pieces using tape measures, calipers, and other measuring tools to ensure they meet specification. Identify non-conforming product, implement appropriate corrective actions, and report issues to the immediate supervisor. Perform quality control checks, including inspection, labeling, and packaging of finished products. Follow GMP and SOP requirements, maintaining documentation and compliance with all quality standards. Maintain a clean and organized working environment, including cleanroom and manufacturing areas. Comply with all safety policies, procedures, and guidelines, including proper use of PPE and adherence to steel-toe footwear requirements. Use hand tools and mechanical equipment as needed for production, assembly, and minor adjustments. Read and interpret blueprints, production drawings, and work instructions to complete tasks accurately. Support general production activities such as assembly, press brake operation, heat shrink application, and general labor tasks as needed. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and resolve equipment or process issues. Follow company guidelines and procedures at all times. Perform other duties as assigned to support manufacturing operations. Essential Skills Experience operating manufacturing machinery, including extrusion lines and related production equipment (6 months to 1 year of manufacturing experience preferred). Ability to set up, run, and troubleshoot machines and automated production equipment. Proficiency using measuring tools such as tape measures and calipers to verify product specifications. Mechanical aptitude, with the ability to understand and work with mechanical systems and hand tools. Familiarity with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) and SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) environments. Experience in quality control, including inspection, labeling, and packaging. Ability to work safely around machinery in a manufacturing environment and follow all safety guidelines. Capability to read and interpret blueprints and production documentation. High School Diploma or equivalent. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in measurements and documentation. Physically able to work in a manufacturing setting, including standing for extended periods and wearing steel-toe footwear. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in assembly or general production work. Experience as an automotive technician or similar mechanically oriented role. Exposure to cleanroom environments and manufacturing rooms with machinery. Knowledge of heat shrink processes and press brake operation. Comfort working in a structured, SOP-driven environment with quality and safety focus. General labor experience in a manufacturing environment. Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate issues clearly to supervisors. Why Work Here? Steel-toe footwear is required, and you may spend extended periods standing and moving between manufacturing rooms and workstations. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Easton, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.50 - $22.50/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
