Metal Plating Operator

Plating Operator -

Erie, PA Pay:

Starting at $15-16/Hour, based on experience Primary responsibilities Perform all of the plating functions including masking, racking, cleaning, stripping, plating, drying, counting verifying, proper handling, packaging customer parts and other tasks as necessary. Monitoring and maintenance of plating processes and immediately reporting any problems or discrepancies to the Lab Technician, supervisor and/or the production manager. Preventative maintenance and general housekeeping of plating areas. Other duties that are considered essential but not listed in the job description, as directed by their direct supervisor or the production manager. Maintain lot integrity and paperwork for all jobs.

Requirements:

Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Must possess general math skills. Must be capable of lifting a minimum of 35 pounds on a continuous basis. Must be capable of working on their feet and sustained physical exertion for the duration of their shift. Must be able to stand, bend, squat, kneel, twist, bend at waist, reach, simple grasping, pushing and pulling, and fine manipulation throughout their shift. Must be willing to work overtime including weekends if necessary. Must be willing to work any shift. Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely, both written and verbally using the English language. Must be capable of working within the quality system currently used. Must be willing to work with and be exposed to hazardous chemicals in relation to the plating process. Must be willing to accept responsibility for and also enforce working in a safe manner in accordance with Company and OSHA safety and health rules.
