You will accurately cut carbon steel pipe to customer specifications while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and productivity. Responsibilities Operate horizontal and vertical band saws to cut carbon steel pipe to specified lengths according to customer requirements. Read and interpret work orders, cut sheets, and measurements to plan and execute cutting tasks accurately. Measure, mark, and verify materials before cutting to ensure accuracy and minimize waste. Adjust saw settings, including speed, feed, and blade tension, based on material size and type to achieve optimal cutting performance. Inspect finished cuts for accuracy, quality, and adherence to specifications, making adjustments as needed. Perform basic machine maintenance, including routine checks and band saw blade changes, to keep equipment in safe working condition. Safely load and unload material using forklifts, cranes, or hoists as needed to support production. Use general labor skills, hand tools, power tools, and plasma cutters as needed to support material processing operations. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with company standards. Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and best practices to promote a safe working environment. Work the 2nd shift schedule (Monday through Friday, 4:00 pm to 12:30 am) and remain flexible for additional hours during the week and on weekends as needed. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fairless Hills, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
