Job Description

Job Title:
Machine Operators 2nd & 3rd shift! Responsibilities Train on policies, protocols, and procedures required to perform all assigned duties safely and effectively. Perform a wide variety of packaging operations, including primary and secondary packaging, material handling, and cleaning/sanitization activities. Conduct in-process sampling, inspection, and testing as directed to verify product quality and compliance. Execute assigned responsibilities according to documented procedures such as Quality Procedures, Manufacturing Procedures, Batch Records, protocols, planned deviations, and training lessons. Understand and comply with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) consistent with 21 CFR 211 pharmaceutical manufacturing guidelines. Accurately and thoroughly complete process-related paperwork, including batch records and operational documentation, ensuring all information is correct and legible. Seek guidance from Technical Operators and/or Supervisors when encountering uncertainties, unusual conditions, or unexpected occurrences during production. Support mixing operations by using a small hand truck to maneuver barrels around the production floor, removing lids, and setting up mixers to stir materials for defined time periods. Assist with coating operations by bringing barrels of adhesive to the machinery, calibrating equipment to the specific material, and ensuring adhesive is applied properly to long rolls of substrate. Participate in slitting operations by helping to cut coated material to customer specifications and preparing it for transfer to shipping for packaging and labeling. Follow work orders, numbers, and written instructions to ensure correct setup, operation, and completion of production runs. Use basic measuring tools, such as tape measures, to verify dimensions and specifications during production. Essential Skills High school diploma or equivalent General mechanical aptitude with the ability to learn machine operation and material handling tasks. Ability to read and interpret work orders, follow numbers, and understand basic written instructions. Basic production and machine operation skills, including operating equipment safely and consistently. Ability to use measuring tools such as tape measures to verify dimensions and specifications. Comfort with completing detailed process-related paperwork and operational documentation accurately. Willingness to follow and comply with pharmaceutical manufacturing cGMP requirements aligned with 21 CFR 211. Ability to perform light material handling, including moving barrels with a small hand truck and lifting approximately 10-15 pounds as needed. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Openness to entry-level training, including 1-5 months of training on first shift before moving to assigned shift as needed. Previous machine operating experience in a production or manufacturing environment (preferred but not required). Experience with machine setup, including basic calibration and adjustment of equipment (preferred). Familiarity with lockout/tagout safety procedures (preferred). Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Glen Rock, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.50 - $24.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
