About Us Tech Tag & Label is a growing label manufacturer in Hatfield, PA. We produce custom labels for a wide range of industrial and commercial customers and are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Label Rewind Operator to join our production team. Work four 10-hour days, Monday through Thursday, and enjoy a three-day weekend every week. Optional overtime may also be available on Fridays when production needs require it. Previous label, printing, converting, or machine-operating experience is preferred, but we are also willing to train a mechanically inclined candidate with strong attention to detail. Position Overview The Label Rewind Operator is responsible for converting large rolls of printed labels into finished rolls according to customer specifications. You'll operate a label rewinding machine, set up jobs according to the job ticket, inspect labels for defects, and ensure finished rolls meet our quality standards before they are sent to the customer. This position is a good fit for someone who enjoys operating equipment, working independently, and taking pride in producing accurate, high-quality work.
Your responsibilities will include:
Review job tickets and customer specifications before beginning each job Set up and operate label rewinding equipment, including blades, cores, roll quantities, and copy position Convert large press rolls into smaller finished rolls according to customer specifications Continuously inspect labels for print, material, and other quality defects Verify finished roll quantities, orientation, core sizes, and product identification Perform roll splices according to company quality procedures Identify and communicate quality issues, shortages, overruns, or other job discrepancies to the Production Supervisor or Quality Control Manager Package or box finished products when required Maintain an accurate and organized work area Keep equipment and work areas clean and in good operating condition Follow established quality and safety procedures Assist with other production and finishing duties as needed What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, and takes pride in doing the job correctly. Previous experience with label rewinding, printing, converting, slitting/rewinding, web handling, packaging, machine operation, or manufacturing is preferred. Experienced label rewind operators are strongly encouraged to apply. Candidates with other machine-operating or manufacturing experience will also be considered, and training will be provided for the right person.
You should be able to:
Show up reliably and on time Pay close attention to details and catch mistakes Follow written job instructions Read a ruler and perform basic math Work independently after training Stay organized while working on different jobs throughout the day Perform repetitive production tasks accurately and consistently Work comfortably around production machinery Stand, sit, bend, crouch, and perform repetitive tasks during the shift Lift up to 30 lbs. Previous experience in manufacturing, machine operation, printing, packaging, converting, inspection, or production is a plus, but not required.
