Brief Job Description The Bulk Handler is responsible for the safe receipt, transfer, storage, and handling of raw materials and finished products throughout the facility. Materials may be received by railcar, tank truck, or freight truck and transferred to storage tanks, warehouses, or processing equipment. The position requires the operation of forklifts, pumps, and other material handling equipment while maintaining compliance with all safety, environmental, and quality standards. Bulk Handler will move raw material from point A to point B. The material will arrive in different forms including by rail car or truck. Heavy lifting will be involved daily whereby fork lifts and other devices will assist the employee. Pay rate is 22.03/hr. Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities
  • Follow all safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements while performing assigned tasks.
  • Receive, unload, and transfer raw materials from railcars, tank trucks, and freight trucks.
  • Operate pumps, valves, hoses, and related equipment to safely transfer materials to storage tanks and process equipment.
  • Monitor transfer operations, tank levels, and temperatures to ensure safe and efficient material handling.
  • Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts and other material handling equipment as required.
  • Package finished products into pails, drums, totes, and other approved containers.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area through routine housekeeping activities.
  • Assist with inventory management, material staging, and movement of raw materials and finished goods throughout the facility.
  • Perform other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Commitment to working safely and following all company safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately and complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality to support production and operational requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail when handling materials, completing documentation, and following procedures.
  • Effective communication skills with supervisors, coworkers, and other departments. Ability to safely operate powered industrial equipment, including sit-down and stand-up forklifts. Working Conditions
  • Bulk Handlers will work inside and outside of the plant.
  • All kinds of weather conditions including hot & cold, rain and snow, should be expected.
  • Bulk Handlers should expect to lift 50lbs of either raw material or manufactured goods.
  • Hoses of rail tankers and tank trucks will be managed in the loading and off-loading of material.
  • Climbing ladders, high towers, rail cars is required to do the job.
  • Fork lifts and other equipment will be used in this role.
  • Ability to get along with others and not work in isolation is required. Education, Training, and Experience Required
  • GED or High School diploma desired but not required.
  • On the job training will be provided
  • Familiarity with the movement of raw material and finished goods is a plus.
Experience on a fork lift or other hauling mediums is a plus.
Pay:
$22.03 per hour
