Press Helper 1st Shift

Classification:

Hourly, 1st Shift Position Summary The Press Helper is responsible for assisting the Press Operator or other Operators in the Flexibles department as needed to stage material, change material rolls, monitor processes, handle ink needs, pack finished rolls, clean flexible area and conduct other duties as needed.

Job Duties:

Attention to detail for all regular production activities Verify product order specifications are met Verify that job order sequence is followed Verify that needed materials are present and correct for each job Verify and adhere to finished product specifications Visually inspect finished and in-process materials for defects Communicate regularly with press operator for directions on adjustments and/or changes Engage in the process to keep ahead of production needs and changes Safely and efficiently move stock, ink, equipment, tooling, and printed rolls Inventory/stock organization and management Responsible to follow the personnel policy Comply with safety procedures and processes Move items from one location to another as needed for staging, production, shipping and storage

Qualifications:

Work independently, actively address visual needs, stay on task and operate thoughtfully Use various hand tools such as pallet jacks, hoists, hand strappers, tape guns, etc. Work and stand for 8 hour shifts as the schedule demands Repeatedly lift 15 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 40 lbs.
