Description Material Mixing and Handling Technician Location:
Latrobe, Pennsylvania
Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented employee to support manufacturing operations by preparing, transporting, and managing materials needed for production. This role is responsible for ensuring materials are available for machine setup and operation, maintaining cleanliness standards, and supporting efficient workflow throughout the facility. Key Responsibilities Pick materials according to work order requirements. Communicate material quantities picked to the Material Receiving department. Prepare blended materials using established ratio charts and work order specifications. Deliver materials to production presses in a timely manner to ensure proper loading and drying times. Clean hoppers and related equipment to prevent material contamination. Following mold and/or material changes, clean and blow off presses, clean underneath equipment, and ensure work areas are swept and free of debris. Ensure a clean grinder is available for production startup. Prepare barrels and gaylords for reuse. Return unused materials to the designated warehouse staging area upon job completion. Remove green tags from production and staging areas as required. Complete all required forms, labels, and production documentation accurately. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Perform other duties as assigned to support efficient plant operations. Qualifications & Requirements Previous forklift experience required. Experience in material mixing and material handling procedures in a manufacturing facility. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Capable of working independently with minimal supervision. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety standards.
