Job Title:
1st Shift Cable Assembler Job Description This 1st shift role focuses on assembling cable and wire components used in professional audio and live performance environments. You will work in a clean, climate-controlled production area, using hand tools to assemble, crimp, and secure various wire and terminal configurations by following detailed diagrams. The position offers consistent weekday hours with the possibility of overtime and provides hands-on experience in the manufacturing of audio products used in live events and permanent installations worldwide. Responsibilities Assemble cable and small wire components according to provided diagrams and work instructions. Use small hand tools such as screwdrivers and crimpers to attach, secure, and terminate wires and components. Work with different-sized wires and terminals, ensuring accurate connections and secure fastening. Apply sufficient hand strength to pull thicker cables and tighten screw terminals to approximately 130 ft-lbs when required. Inspect your work visually to confirm assemblies meet quality and specification standards. Maintain an organized and clean work area within the cable assembly room. Collaborate and work alongside a small team of assemblers in a shared workspace. Follow all safety guidelines while using hand tools and working with cables and components. Adapt to different assembly types and tasks as production needs change. Demonstrate reliability and a positive attitude while learning and applying new assembly skills. Essential Skills Ability to follow diagrams, written instructions, and standardized assembly processes. Sufficient hand strength to pull thicker cables and tighten screw terminals to approximately 130 ft-lbs when needed. Comfort using small hand tools such as screwdrivers and crimpers. Reliability in attendance and punctuality. Positive, team-oriented attitude and willingness to learn. Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort working with tools and components. Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while performing repetitive assembly tasks. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience in assembly, general production, or manufacturing is preferred but not required. Experience as a production worker or in general production environments is a plus. Experience with electronic assembly or working with hand and power tools is beneficial. Entry-level candidates and recent graduates are welcome, provided they are willing to learn and demonstrate mechanical ability. Comfort working in a structured, production-focused environment. Work Environment This is a 1st shift position with hours from Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with overtime available as needed. The cable assembly area is climate controlled, clean, and comfortable—cool in the summer and warm in the winter. You will work in a room with about five other assemblers, seated at a booth or standing as you prefer while completing assemblies side by side. The environment is production-focused but collaborative, with diagrams and tools readily available to support your work. The dress code is casual and practical, including jeans and closed-toed shoes; steel-toe footwear is not required. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lititz, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
