  • 11:00 PM Overtime available before shift and on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays Average 50+ hours/week based on production needs Weekly pay and Immediate start classes Job Overview We are hiring Machine Operators / Saw Operators to support production on 2nd shift in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
This role focuses on setting up and operating various horizontal and aluminum cutting saws to cut aluminum, steel, and stainless steel to precise specifications. This is a hands-on opportunity to work with both manual and numerically controlled equipment , producing high-quality components for large-scale, high-profile projects. Responsibilities Set up and operate horizontal bandsaws to cut aluminum, steel, and stainless steel Operate industrial aluminum saws including down-cut and up-cut saws Run numerically controlled saws with automatic pusher, feed, and auto-indexing features Rotate between multiple saws and machines as needed Pull, verify, and stage raw materials prior to production Read and interpret blueprints to determine dimensions, tolerances, and material requirements Identify and verify correct materials (alloys and sizes) for each job Set up saws by adjusting stops, feeds, speeds, and job settings Measure and inspect parts using tape measures and 6" calipers Perform in-process inspections using QC instrumentation at machines Accurately record labor and material usage in MES software Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas Monitor equipment performance and report maintenance or operational issues Produce consistent job quantities (typically 5-20 parts, with occasional high-volume runs) Follow all safety procedures when operating machinery and handling materials Essential Skills Experience operating band saws and industrial cutting saws Strong blueprint reading ability Knowledge of different materials: aluminum, steel, stainless steel Experience using tape measures and calipers for precision measurement Prior experience as a machine operator or saw operator Ability to perform basic inspections and quality checks Experience with MES systems or production tracking software Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines Willingness to work 2nd shift and overtime as needed Additional Qualifications (Preferred) Background in sawing within manufacturing, construction, or concrete environments Experience with automated and CNC saw systems Familiarity with job travelers and detailed production prints Ability to adapt to multiple machines and changing priorities Strong attention to detail and quality focus Reliable attendance for a contract role (1-3 months) Why Work Here? Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00
