Water Jet Operator

Duties Set up and operate water jet cutting machines, ensuring optimal performance and safety compliance Read and interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to accurately cut materials Adjust machine parameters such as pressure, speed, and nozzle settings to achieve precise cuts Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting on water jet equipment to minimize downtime Utilize hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments for quality inspection Collaborate with team members on fabrication tasks involving sheet metal, tooling, and assembly processes Follow safety protocols diligently when operating cranes, forklifts, or handling heavy materials Experience Proven experience operating CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machinery such as CNC laser cutters, CNC milling machines, or CNC lathes Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in fabrication techniques including plasma cutting, welding, and electrical discharge machining Skilled in blueprint reading and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) for precise manufacturing work Hands-on experience with hand tools, tooling setup, and quality inspection using micrometers or other precision instruments Knowledge of manufacturing safety standards and ability to operate cranes or forklifts safely Basic math skills for measuring and calculating dimensions accurately in a production setting Prior experience working with sheet metal fabrication or assembly lines is highly desirable Embark on a rewarding career where your technical skills make a tangible impact!
