Job Description
Electric Materials Co is seeking an Automated Plating Utility to support our precision manufacturing of electrical components. In this role, you will load and unload parts, operate and monitor automated plating lines, mix and handle chemicals safely, and inspect finished components for quality. You will follow detailed work instructions, perform basic equipment checks, and keep accurate production records. Working closely with a collaborative team, you'll help maintain a safe, efficient, and high-quality operation while gaining skills in modern manufacturing processes. Responsibilities Operate and monitor automated plating equipment and controls Load, unload, and stage parts for plating processes Follow work orders, drawings, and plating specifications Inspect plated components for quality, thickness, and finish Handle and mix plating chemicals following safety procedures Record production data, counts, and process parameters Assist with basic equipment cleaning and preventive maintenance Follow all safety, PPE, and housekeeping standards Communicate equipment or quality issues to supervisors Collaborate with team members to meet production targets Required Skills Automated plating line operation Metal finishing processes Quality inspection and measurement Basic mechanical troubleshooting Chemical handling and safety Production documentation Machine monitoring and adjustment Preventive maintenance support Reading work orders and specs Lockout/tagout procedures
