The DME Coordinator is responsible for receiving, cleaning, testing, assigning, and stocking of all durable medical equipment and accessories. Responsible for completing all documentation needed to track equipment and file appropriately. This position will work Monday through Friday with rotating shifts of 8am-4:30pm, 8:30am-5pm, 9am-5:30pm, & 9:30am-6pm. Responsibilities:
Ensures that proper pump accessories are available and contacts sales representatives, as necessary for assistance. Performs other duties as assigned. Timely recovery and response to all equipment issues reported Take initiative to presents ideas/suggestions. Sets high goals and standards of performance for self. Ensures that rooms are clean and neat, and that equipment is organized in a manner that ensures easy retrieval and compliance with accrediting organizations. Complete patient letters to recover equipment if unable to contact patient/family/caregiver. Maintains confidentiality of information. Generate and distribute monthly list of equipment scheduled for yearly preventative maintenance. Completes routine inventory of equipment with appropriate investigation. Ensure testing station is maintained and tests are completed per protocol. Promotes Chartwell culture by providing quality, comprehensive services to all customers through a team. Gives high priority to client satisfaction and customer needs. Makes sure work meets quality standards. Coordinates and supervises delivery and pick-up of equipment effectively and efficiently with drivers and UPS. Timely follow up when equipment not received and reschedules pick-up. Acts as a resource for all departments regarding equipment and accessories. Handles client complaints in a fair and empathetic manner. Receives and cleans equipment. Maintains and ensures that equipment is clean, tested, and ready for patient use per all policies and SOPs. Exhibits an attitude that promotes teamwork, harmony and goodwill among clients and co-workers. Ensures that all pouches are cleaned and in good condition after received. Ensures that infection control procedures are followed on all equipment going in and out of the warehouse. Ensure outlying branches have adequate stock of equipment. Displays a neat, clean, professional appearance at all times. Uses appropriate communication lines in relaying problems, concerns, questions, and ideas. Demonstrates follow-through on all assigned tasks. Keeps accurate and clear records. Generate and work inventory reports to identify equipment not being utilized and arrange pick-up. Ensure timely return of defective equipment to manufacturer for evaluation and repair. Update preventative maintenance dates in patient management system in a timely manner. Maintains a courteous demeanor at all times. Has the ability to express ideas in writing and completes written reports in a timely manner. Ensure patient management system accurately reflects equipment status. Shows pride in his/her work. Sets priorities appropriately. High School diploma or equivalent. Prior experience in cleaning and testing procedures of equipment is preferred but not required. Good organization and time management skills required. Basic knowledge of computers required. Good interpersonal skills required.
