Job Description
Global Packaging, Inc, is a Global leader in the field of Flexographic Printing for the private label and branded markets of diapers, sanitary products, towel, tissue and napkins as well as frozen food packaging and baked goods. We are seeking a skilled Flexo Packaging Converting Lead Operator to join our dynamic converting team. The selected candidates will possess a strong mechanical aptitude, to set-up converting machines for production processes that include the calibration of the machines according to customer specifications, preventative maintenance and minor repairs. If you are safety-conscious, possess strong mechanical aptitude with problem solving abilities and possess a passion for manufacturing, we want to hear from you. Applicants with a background in mechanical or automotive repair are strongly encouraged to apply. The responsibilities of a Lead Converting Operator include, but are not limited to, the following: The ability to work 3/4 (2) rotating schedule (6:30 P.M. - 6:30 A.M.) Possess a strong mechanical aptitude with hands and tools proficiency. Learn to proficiently operate a converting machine. The ability to read and comprehend blueprints is required Sets up converting machines efficiently and accurately for operators to produce high quality flexo-packaging. Configures converting machines according to client specifications Perform test runs to ensure quality and accuracy of setups; meet production standards. Execute preventative maintenance and troubleshoots any issues that may arise. Meets or exceeds production expectations for each job produced. Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures, quality procedures and safety procedures. Records production data as required. Reports any equipment issues or non-conforming product issues that lead operator cannot resolve to maintenance or to supervisor. Trains converting operators and other lead operators as needed.
