Somerset,PA Pay rate starts at 17$/hr Job Description The Machine Operator will work in a machine job shop environment, operating and supporting CNC Mazak machines to produce a wide variety of parts for diverse customers. This role involves setting up, loading, and unloading machines, measuring and cleaning parts, and ensuring that machines and materials function correctly throughout the production process. The position is hands-on and requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality. Responsibilities Operate CNC Mazak machines in a machine job shop environment to produce a variety of parts for different customers. Set up machines according to job specifications, including preparing tools, materials, and machine parameters. Load and unload parts and materials into and out of machines safely and efficiently. Measure parts using tape measures, micrometers, and calipers to verify dimensions and ensure quality standards are met. Clean and deburr parts as needed to maintain product quality and readiness for the next stage of production. Monitor machine performance during operation and ensure proper function of machines and materials. Troubleshoot basic machine and process issues and make adjustments within defined parameters. Read and interpret blueprints to understand part requirements and machining operations. Use hand tools and power tools as needed for assembly, adjustment, or maintenance tasks related to machine operation. Support laser-related operations as needed in connection with the machining process. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with shop standards. Collaborate with team members and follow instructions to meet production schedules and quality expectations. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Somerset, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
