Description
Machine Operator - multiple shifts Position Summary The Machine Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient setup, operation, and monitoring of production equipment to meet quality, productivity, and safety standards. This role plays a critical part in ensuring customer specifications are met while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Essential Responsibilities
Set up, operate, and monitor production equipment according to work orders and production requirements.
Review and interpret work orders, print cards, and product specifications to ensure accurate production.
Maintain production schedules and maximize machine efficiency and output.
Perform quality checks throughout the production process and ensure all quality standards are met.
Follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
Ensure finished products are properly stacked, unitized, and palletized for shipment.
Maintain a safe work environment by following all safety policies and procedures.
Keep work areas clean and organized in accordance with housekeeping standards.
Perform routine machine inspections and basic preventative maintenance activities.
Communicate production, quality, safety, and equipment concerns promptly to supervisors.
Monitor production supply levels and notify management of replenishment needs.
Accurately complete required production, quality, safety, and equipment documentation.
Support training efforts and assist team members as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Ability to read and understand work instructions, production documents, and safety information.
Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals.
Ability to accurately read and use a ruler or tape measure.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to complete production and operational reports accurately and on time.
Dependable attendance and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
Frequent use of hands and arms to operate equipment and handle materials.
Ability to regularly lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
Ability to communicate effectively and maintain awareness of surroundings in a manufacturing environment.
