Peterson Cartridge Company has an opening for an Assistant Operator for our automated inspection machine. We offer a clean, well lit, climate-controlled 70-degree work environment. We manufacture brass rifle casings from our factory in Cranberry Township, just north of Pittsburgh, PA. We produce match-grade, rifle casings to the highest quality standards, for competitive shooting, hunting and military use. Monday - Friday 3:30pm-11:00pm

Duties and Responsibilities Include:

Adhering to safety and environmental rules. Assisting the laser inspection system operator. Hand inspecting brass rifle casings for dimensional tolerances, and defects. Performing general housekeeping. Measuring dimensions of work-in-process and finished goods. Ensuring conformance to specifications. Packaging/shipping Required Experience /

Skills:

The ability to work with your hands & visually find defects or flaws with parts. No conviction record, PFA order against them, or anything else that would prevent them from purchasing or discharging a firearm. Able to pass a background check & drug test. High attention-to-detail; high conscientiousness. $28/hour which includes the $2.00 shift differential Qualifications Experience in quality control, particularly in visual and hand inspection Proficiency in using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments Familiarity with packaging processes and quality assurance standards Knowledge of quality audits, manufacturing, and quality management systems Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
