Job Description

Essential Functions:
Responsible for the operations of a manufacturing line including setup. (Loading machine by threading steel wires into rolling apparatus and then utilizing machine controls to advance wire into the mechanics of the machine that actually forms the finalized product.) Responsible for minor trouble shooting/problem solving including welding of broken wires. Responsible for operating machinery and/or equipment within specified Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Responsible for ensuring quality of work meets and/or exceeds specifications through continual and ongoing quality inspection of work product. Responsible to alert supervisor if and when product does not meet appropriate quality standards. Responsible to participate in job specific, machine/equipment and/or other required training in order to perform the job in accordance with appropriate/expected manner. Responsible to be at work/on-time, for the full period of planned/scheduled workdays. Responsible to work well with other team members in a manner that meets and/or exceeds the expectations of stated ways of working. Responsible to problem solve/trouble shoot common issues surrounding the operation of machinery/equipment and/or completion of expected job duties. Communicate same to supervisor in a timely manner and elevate any issues that are ongoing and/or problematic to the completion of expected/scheduled/acceptable work product. Responsible to record data related to completion of work duties as required using electronic data collection/software systems and/or other means as required by the SOPs in the work area. Responsible to ensure a clean and orderly work area that meets and/or exceeds the 5S and/or other standards expected toward good housekeeping and organization of the work area. Responsible for support of Continuous Improvement Activities through feedback and/or participation in workplace teams, work groups, etc., as requested. Responsible for communicating with fellow team members, management and others in order to ensure timely and accurate communication of data necessary in order to meet production requirements associated with assigned tasks. Responsible to wear provided/required safety PPE and perform job within the appropriate safety related Work Instructions. Perform other duties as assigned. This job also offers a 3 month pay progression, up to 15 months. Union Facility Education & Experience Requirements High School Diploma or GED preferred with 1 -2 years working in a manufacturing production environment preferred.
