Job Description
Set-up Technician PMF Industries, a Williamsport manufacturer specializing in fabrications constructed of stainless steel and other formable alloys used in aerospace, pharmaceutical, food processing, micro-electronics, and defense markets, is seeking highly motivated individuals for the following opportunity: Set-up Technician The Set-up Technician reports to the shift supervisors and will set-up various machinery and run production. Read and understand operational instructions and assemble equipment: Using the operational instructions as a guide the set-up technician will assemble all the necessary tooling components to start and complete the set-up. Update operational instructions and check for accuracy: Working with the Supervisor or Group Leader, the technician will review the operational instructions for accuracy and make corrections and updates as required. The technician will remove any tools, wheels, mandrels, dies, punches, etc. to prepare the machine for the new set-up. The technician will also clean the area around the machine removing any debris from the machine and surrounding area Clean, store and catalogue tooling: After set-up is complete the technician will clean tools and equipment prior to storage. If any piece looks damaged, he will contact engineering. The technician will maintain a catalogue of the location of set-up equipment throughout the shop. Check and update stock of consumables: The technician will periodically review stocks of consumables such as flowturn wheels, oils, shims, etc. to ensure the stocking levels are suitable for production Will be required to handle materials, run production, maintain 5S, etc
