Job Description
Adept Corporation in York, PA is hiring!! We are looking for individuals who are ready to learn a new trade as a PVC Extrusion Operator Trainee. 1 Nightshift Trainee We are searching for candidates who are interested in becoming a full time permanent PVC Extrusion Operator. This position is an entry-level role designed to develop skilled PVC extrusion operators through a structured training program. The trainee will complete ongoing hands-on training on the production floor. This position supports daily extrusion operations while learning equipment operations, quality standards, and safety requirements. Responsibilities of a
PVC Extrusion Operator:
- Learn to operate and monitor all aspects of the PVC extrusion process
- Assist with setup, adjustment, and teardown of extrusion equipment
- Perform routine quality checks and inspections to ensure product specifications are met
- Accurately complete production, quality, and safety documentation
- Industrial equipment safely operated such as saws, forklifts, and material handling equipment
- Follow all safety policies, procedures, and good manufacturing practices
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Work collaboratively with team members, supervisors, and trainers
- Complete other tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn industrial processes
- Basic reading, writing, and math skills
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and rotating shifts (2nd or 3rd shift)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Qualifications 18 years or older High School diploma or equivalent Authorized to work in the US Successful completion of substance screening Must have valid drivers license and transportation Pay depending on shift and competency milestones
