The Pack and Tie Operator is responsible for the safe, accurate, and efficient packaging, bundling, tying, labeling, and preparation of precious metal products for internal processing, inventory, or customer shipment. This position ensures all materials are properly identified, protected from damage or contamination, and handled in accordance with company quality standards, security procedures, and precious metal accountability requirements. Education Requirements High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous warehouse, fulfillment, or distribution training is beneficial. Experience Requirements Previous manufacturing, packaging, warehouse, or production experience preferred Experience working with inventory tracking, labeling, or shipping documentation is a plus Ability to follow detailed procedures and quality standards Strong attention to detail and accuracy Job Duties Package finished and semi-finished precious metal products according to customer specifications and company procedures Bundle, tie, wrap, band, and secure materials using approved packaging methods and equipment Verify product identification, lot numbers, work orders, and quantities prior to packaging Apply labels, tags, and traceability documentation accurately Inspect products to ensure they are free from damage, contamination, and packaging defects Record production, inventory, and packaging information in company systems and production logs Weigh products using calibrated scales and verify weights against work orders Maintain strict accountability of precious metal materials throughout the packaging process Transport packaged materials safely between workstations, inventory locations, and shipping areas Follow all security procedures related to handling high-value precious metals Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment utilizing 5S principles Preferred Qualifications Previous warehouse, fulfillment, distribution, shipping, receiving, or logistics experience is preferred. Experience with RF scanners, warehouse management systems (WMS), or inventory software is beneficial. Knowledge of inventory control, shipping procedures, or order fulfillment best practices is considered an asset. Individuals who demonstrate reliability, productivity, teamwork, and attention to detail are well positioned for success as a Pack and Tie Operator. Physical Capabilities Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive warehouse tasks throughout the shift. Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull products weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to safely handle products while maintaining productivity and quality standards. Ability to work efficiently in warehouse and fulfillment environments while following established safety procedures.
