Job Title:
Machine Operator Assistant Job Description The Machine Operator Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the production process. You will be responsible for locating and supplying materials, weighing, strapping, bagging, and labeling finished goods. Additionally, you will assist in performing in-process quality inspections and maintain in-process inventory by accurately labeling work in progress. Responsibilities Locate and supply materials needed for production. Weigh, strap, bag, and label finished goods. Assist in performing in-process quality inspections. Inform supervisor of any material needs as they arise. Maintain in-process inventory by labeling work in progress correctly in production output or job packets by verifying material lot and quantity. Essential Skills Mechanical aptitude Attention to detail Understanding of manufacturing processes Ability to learn quickly Experience in machine operation and inspection Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in quality control Inventory management experience Why Work Here? The work involves heavy lifting, requiring the ability to lift 50 to 75 pounds and move large rolls as part of a team. The facility is a textile manufacturer located in North Smithfield, RI, and Woonsocket, RI, where the temperature can be hot in summers and comfortably warm in winters due to machine operations. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Woonsocket, RI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
