Summary:

Set up and style change m/c, hang warps in m/c, sley and thread guide bars, change and time pattern wheels, build, pattern chains. Help operator run m/c parts in production as required. Needles, closures, start up and knit sample styles as necessary. Tape beams in and out as necessary, do major mechanical repairs or overhauls as directed. Clean and grease m/c. Perform routine PM's weekly. This position is located at the Highland Plant in Cheraw, South Carolina. This is a 2nd shift position from 4:00pm - 12:00am.

Special Qualifications:
  • Must be a Qualified Weft Operator or Threader and be able to pass a Mechanical Aptitude test with 80%. Must have good knowledge of tools and can read tape measure device. Must have Weft experience. Good Vision.
  • Work from Ladder/heights.
  • Good Math Skills.
  • Receive specific instruction from Supervisor or Lead Technician. Responsible for good housekeeping and safety.
  • Daily inspections of all cloth and machines to help prevent running of possible defects and off quality.
  • Inform Supervisor of any machine-related problem, yarn problem or machine condition that requires attention.
  • Communicate with fixer or supervisor from previous and next shifts about status of machine or yarn problems which require attention.
