Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented
Machine Operator:
Press Brake, Punch & Shear to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining our Press Brake, Punch & Shear machines to punch, bend and shape sheet metal components with precision and efficiency. Your expertise will ensure that all fabricated parts meet strict quality standards while adhering to safety protocols. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-quality fabrication projects in a fast paced, small business environment, supporting the production of custom metal parts and assemblies. Qualifications Strong mechanical knowledge of press brake punch & shear machines, CNC programming, and tooling setup Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards Ability to operate hand tools, forklifts, and other manufacturing equipment safely Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes including stamping presses and assembly techniques Skilled in using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and other quality inspection tools Basic math skills for calculating dimensions, angles, and material requirements Familiarity with welding techniques and fabrication standards is advantageous Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality control in a manufacturing environment Excellent problem-solving skills combined with the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities Responsibilities In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining our press brake, punch and shear machines to punch, bend and shape sheet metal components with precision and efficiency Must be able to set up, run and operate Amada Press Break & punch machines. Read and interpret detailed engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documents to determine proper tooling and machine settings Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify dimensions and ensure quality standards are met Adjust machine parameters for different materials, thicknesses, and bend angles to optimize production efficiency Perform routine maintenance on press brake equipment, including tooling changes and safety checks Collaborate with fabrication, welding, and assembly teams to coordinate production workflows and meet project deadlines Conduct quality inspections throughout the bending process, identifying defects or deviations for immediate correction Maintain accurate records of production runs, machine settings, and inspection results for traceability
Pay:
$24.00 - $30.00 per hour
