Quality Team Player Resilient Ethical Summary of Duties:
This position is responsible for determining size, composition, plating process and thickness for materials from the customer order form. Must maintain production and quality standards. Must conform to all safety rules. Must maintain documentation as required. Performs other duties assigned by supervisor or lead person.
Hours:
3rd Shift Sun - Thurs. 11:00pm - 7:00am (train on 1st shift)
What You'll Do:
The plater must be self-manageable. Able to recognize what needs to be done without supervisor or lead person involvement. Plater must be able to manage multiple tasks at one time efficiently. Plater must be able to move from line to line when needed. Determines amount of time and electrical current to apply to parts during plating process in accordance with standard manufacturing procedures. Visually inspects parts through cleaning process and post plate rinsing process to ensure finished meet quality standards. Dries, inspects and packages plated parts in according to customer specifications and quality standards. Performs thickness and adhesion test and documents as required. Keeps floors, stands, tanks, racks, and immediate work area clean and free of clutter and debris. Follows all safety rules. Fills out daily preventative maintenance check sheets. Documents existing problems on proper forms.
Requirements:
Minimum age of 18 years old. Assist lead persons in scheduling, as necessary. Make brightener adds to tanks as necessary to maintain expected levels of quality. Be able to run more than one plating line at the expected level of efficiency. Demonstrate knowledge of plating processes. Legible handwriting. Ability to follow written instructions accurately. Ability to use measuring instruments, gauges, and test equipment proficiently and accurately. Have proficient understanding of decimals and fractions. Ability to collaborate well with other people and operate as a team player. Must possess and demonstrate good written and communication skills. Ability to lift to 70 pounds at frequent intervals. Must maintain "meets expectation" attendance, safety, and job performance evaluations. This job requires standing, stooping and bending 100% of the time. Benefits for
