Job Description

Yarn Operator / Backwind Operator This position offers an excellent opportunity for candidates with experience in textile manufacturing, specifically yarn winding or backwinding in fiber, extrusion, or continuous production environments. Based in Greer, South Carolina, the role involves ownership of the back winding processes that support downstream production. The successful candidate will work closely with machine operators, technicians, and supervisors in a team-based environment to ensure efficient and high-quality production. Job Responsibilities Set up, operate, troubleshoot, and perform minor maintenance on back winding equipment used in weatherstripping manufacturing. Monitor production flow and adjust to changing production and inventory needs. Ensure equipment efficiency meets production and quality standards. Track yarn usage, scrap rates, uptime, and package delivery. Monitor production to standard work and report findings. Identify improvement opportunities related to safety, quality, and efficiency. Communicate regularly with supervisors, team leaders, and operators. Maintain accurate documentation and basic computer records. Follow and promote safe work practices. Qualifications Textile, yarn, winding, or similar manufacturing experience strongly desired. Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability. Strong organizational and communication skills. Basic computer skills. Ability to work independently while supporting a team environment. Physical ability to stand, reach, and perform hands-on machine work throughout the shift. Ability to lift up to 45 lbs. Comfortable working in a louder production environment.
Compensation and Benefits Pay rate:
$18/hour Working hours: 3rd
Shift:
