Job Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Material Costs - stringent material control is required to assure company targets are met. This includes spend, usage, scrap, inventory levels, etc. Operate CNC saws to cut aluminum and steel. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders to determine material dimensions and cutting requirements. Measure and mark material for cutting with high accuracy using tape measures, and other tools. Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency. Inspect raw materials for quality before cutting and finished pieces for accuracy post-cut. Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on saw equipment. Assist with unloading, storing, and organizing raw material stock as needed. Collaborate with team members in fabrication, assembly, and finishing departments. Follow all workplace safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE. Report equipment malfunctions or safety issues to supervisors immediately.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Overhead crane experience a plus. 1-2 years of experience in a fabrication or manufacturing environment preferred. Prior experience operating saws and understanding cutting techniques is a strong asset. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Strong measurement and math skills. Manual dexterity and physical stamina to handle repetitive tasks and stand for long periods. Commitment to producing high-quality work and meeting production deadlines.
