Job Description
Our client, a textile manufacturer in Landrum Set up, operate, or tend machines that wind or twist Start machine, monitor operation and make adjustments as needed Controlling operations of equipment or systems, by observation, to detect defects, malfunctions, or supply shortages. Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly. Inspect products to verify that they meet specifications and to determine whether machine adjustment is needed. Handling and moving objects using hands and arms Removes old yarn from machines before changing to different size or type of yarn. May repair yarn breaks in creel. May also replace yarn packages or spools when faulty yarn appears. Expected to follow all safety procedures for the job duties assigned. Patrol area at all times, helping pull up break backs when caught up. First hour and last hour of shift stay on job. Make sure you open yarn with scissors, never box cutters, as to not cut the yarn. Report any safety hazard or any unsafe condition.
