Job Description
Have you operated weaving machinery? Do you have leadership skills? ONLY experienced Weaving machine technicians/operators will be considered!! The Weaver Lead is responsible for supervising a team of weavers, ensuring efficient and effective production, while also overseeing the performance, troubleshooting, and maintenance of weaving machinery.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage workflow from warp, looms, finishing and blocking
- Assign tasks and set production targets, ensuring timely completion of work
- Perform daily safety inspections and equipment maintenance checks
- Maintains machine maintenance and loom set-up
- Identify and implement corrective actions to prevent defects and improve quality
- Maintain target production rates are met
- Ensure safe working practices are followed
- Follow established procedures to maintain a clean and organized environment, including immediate work area, breakroom and restrooms
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures and guidelines
- Other duties as assigned by management
REQUIRED SKILLS
- High School Diploma, GED, or formal vocational training
- Minimum of 1-3+ years' experience in a weaving manufacturing environment preferably with nylon webbing textile looms
RECOMMENDED SKILLS
- Knowledge of warping, narrow fabric looms
- Self-motivated and safety conscious
- Effective team leadership management
- Strong accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Excellent multi-tasking and organizational skills
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Required to stand and walk frequently. Moderate lifting (materials and tooling), must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
- Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts.
