Job Description
Job Summary Match Staffing is seeking an experienced Blown Film Operator to join a fast‑paced manufacturing team. The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience operating blown film extrusion equipment, strong mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to safety and quality. This role is essential in producing high‑quality plastic film used in packaging and industrial applications. Job Responsibilities Machine Setup — Prepare and set up blown film extrusion lines, including dies, air rings, and cooling systems. Equipment Operation — Operate blown film machines to produce film to required thickness, width, and quality standards. Quality Inspection — Monitor film gauge, clarity, roll profile, and overall product quality throughout production. Troubleshooting — Diagnose and correct issues such as gels, wrinkles, gauge variation, or bubble instability. Material Handling — Load resin, manage additives, and ensure proper blending and drying. Documentation — Record production data, downtime, material usage, and quality results. Safety Compliance — Follow all safety protocols, lockout/tagout procedures, and maintain a clean work area. Qualifications Extrusion Experience — 1-3 years' operating blown film or similar extrusion equipment preferred. Mechanical Aptitude — Ability to make mechanical adjustments and perform minor maintenance. Quality Focus — Understanding film specifications, tolerances, and inspection methods. Physical Requirements — Ability to lift 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work in a manufacturing environment. Teamwork — Strong communication skills and ability to work with production teams and supervisors.
