Job Description

Job Purpose/Summary:
The Rubber Operator I position operates molding machines, producing rubber panels within specifications.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
Reviews work order and checks that raw materials and inserts are correct for the job. Transfers raw material inventory into ERP system. Places insert into molding machine and starts cycle of machine. Runs first piece, gets approval and begins run operations. Works between multiple molding machines simultaneously. Physically removes panel from machine and loads machine with next insert. Trims off flash and finishes part to quality standards. Assure proper labeling of all required. Scans finished panel barcodes into computer. Must inspect die for tool damage before returning to tool room. Monitors and records all scrap product, places in scrap cart. Maintains 5s standards and safety practices in work area. Performs related duties as required.
Minimum Education & Work Experience Required:
High school or GED diploma. 1-2 years' experience in a manufacturing environment preferably in injection molding.
Necessary Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Calculate measurements. Use shop tools.
