Job Title:
Assembly Technician Job Description This role involves setting up, assembling, repairing, testing, and packaging final and sub-assemblies for spray handles and nozzles on a production line. You will work at various workstations to maintain consistent product quality and meet production output goals in a clean, organized environment. Responsibilities Set up assembly workstations and equipment according to production requirements. Assemble final products and sub-assemblies, including spray handles and nozzles, following established procedures and specifications. Repair assemblies as needed to ensure they meet quality standards. Test assembled products to confirm proper function and performance. Package final products and sub-assemblies in accordance with packaging guidelines. Work efficiently on assembly and production lines to maintain required output levels. Monitor work quality at all stations and promptly address any defects or issues. Handle materials and components safely, including lifting and loading items up to 40 pounds. Perform tasks that require frequent, repetitive elbow and upper-body movements. Follow all safety rules, including proper use of personal protective equipment and adherence to dress code requirements. Maintain a clean and organized workstation throughout the shift. Collaborate with team members and communicate any production or equipment issues to the appropriate personnel. Essential Skills Experience working in assembly, assembly line, or production line environments. Ability to perform assembly and production tasks accurately and consistently. Capability to stand, walk, or sit for up to eight hours during a shift. Ability to occasionally stoop, bend, lift, and load up to 40 pounds safely. Comfort with frequent, repetitive elbow and arm movements during assembly work. Basic understanding of warehouse and production processes. Attention to detail to maintain required work quality at all stations. Reliability and punctuality to support consistent production schedules. Additional Skills & Qualifications Prior experience in a warehouse, production, or manufacturing environment. Familiarity with soldering or related hands-on production tasks. Comfort working at an individual station while contributing to a larger production team. Willingness to follow detailed instructions and standard operating procedures. Why Work Here? The facility operates on a daytime schedule with hours from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The building is equipped with heating and climate control to support comfortable working conditions. Work involves standing, walking, or sitting for most of an eight-hour shift and performing repetitive upper-body movements. Closed-toe shoes are required as part of the dress code, and employees must follow all safety and cleanliness standards at their stations. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sioux Falls, SD. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
