Job Description
As a Utility Technician, you will work alongside our experienced crew on a variety of residential and commercial projects throughout East Tennessee. This position focuses primarily on electrical and plumbing installations, while also assisting with underground utility work and excavation operations. Every day is different, giving you the opportunity to expand your skills and grow within the company. Responsibilities Assist with residential and commercial electrical installations. Perform home wiring, outdoor electrical work, and underground electrical installations. Assist with residential plumbing, new construction plumbing, sewer installations, and septic system installations. Lay water, sewer, and electrical pipe to grade in excavated trenches. Use a grade rod and other measuring equipment to ensure accurate elevations. Work alongside excavator and equipment operators by preparing trenches, setting pipe, installing materials, and maintaining a safe job site. Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment as needed. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Represent CMJ Excavation Services professionally with customers and coworkers. Qualifications Experience with residential electrical work, including home wiring, outdoor electrical, and underground electrical installations. Experience with residential plumbing, new construction plumbing, sewer, and septic installations. Ability to read measurements and follow directions accurately. Ability to lift 75+ pounds and perform physically demanding work outdoors in all weather conditions. Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn. Valid driver's license required.
