Folder Operator

Paulsen Printing is seeking an experienced Folder Operator to join our production team in Memphis. This position is responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of commercial folding equipment to produce high-quality finished printed materials in an efficient and timely manner. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a commercial print environment, strong mechanical aptitude, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced production setting. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate commercial folding equipment according to job specifications Review job tickets and verify proper stock, folds, counts, and finishing requirements Monitor production quality and make adjustments as needed during runs Troubleshoot equipment and production issues to minimize downtime Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of folding equipment Work closely with pressroom, bindery, and shipping departments to maintain workflow efficiency Ensure jobs are completed accurately, efficiently, and on schedule Maintain a clean and safe work environment Assist with other bindery and finishing operations as needed Qualifications Minimum 5+ years of experience operating folders in a commercial print environment Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Ability to read and understand job tickets and production specifications Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong work ethic and reliability Ability to lift materials and stand for extended periods Preferred Qualifications Experience with multiple fold configurations and specialty folds Familiarity with bindery workflow and finishing equipment Experience working in a fast-paced commercial printing operation Compensation & Benefits Competitive pay based on experience Benefits package available Opportunity to work with a respected Memphis printing company focused on quality and customer service
