Job Description

  • Job Title: Machine Operator
  • Job Description
  • We are seeking two skilled Machine Operators to join our team at a metal trim manufacturing company. The role involves operating a Shear, Slitter, and Metal Folder (Brake Press) to produce high-quality metal trim parts.
  • Responsibilities
  • + Read and interpret drawings with specific angles, bends, and quantities required.

+ Enter drawing details into Human-Machine Interface (HMI) systems.

+ Place 10 ft metal strips into machines for bending and cutting operations.

+ Maneuver materials appropriately for each bend and step.

+ Stack finished materials upon completion.

+ Assist in shipping and packing when machines are not in operation.

+ Meet production goals and maintain specified tolerance levels.

  • Essential Skills
  • + Experience in machine operating, specifically with press brake and brake press machines. + Proficiency in using a tape measure. + Ability to handle sheet metal and perform material handling tasks. + Capability to lift and maneuver 10 ft long sheet metal pieces and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • + Sheet metal experience is advantageous. + Experience with production goals and quality standards is essential. + Preferred experience with brake press operations.

The facility operates Monday to Friday, from 7 am to 3:30 pm, with two 15-minute breaks and a 30-minute unpaid lunch. The company is currently located in Nashville but will move to Columbia/Mt. Pleasant, TN in late November 2026. The production involves creating trim for industrial metal buildings, specifically cold storage buildings, and aims to produce 1,000 to 1,800 trim parts daily.

  • Pay and Benefits
  • The pay range for this position is $25.

00 - $28.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your jobclassification and length of employment.
