Overview We are seeking dependable, hardworking, and reliable individuals to join us at PhD Bookbinding. This is a hands-on role requiring a blend of manual dexterity, machine work, and digital design skills, with opportunities to contribute to a variety of bookbinding projects. No previous experience is required, and all formal knowledge needed for the job will be taught within the first few weeks of onboarding.
Responsibilities:
Operate printing and bindery equipment such as printers, cutters, folders, and stitchers Manually cut, craft, and combine various materials throughout the bookbinding process Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure accuracy and adherence to specifications Digitally design and format customized covers Handle materials and supplies efficiently to meet production deadlines Package completed orders Maintain a clean and organized work area Updating customers on order status
Qualifications:
Experience or ability to learn Adobe Creative Suite for graphic design purposes Knowledge of machining techniques for bindery operations is a plus Attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask Able to work in a fast-paced environment Able to lift up to 50 pounds
