In this role, you will lead a team of operators, ensure adherence to manufacturing standards, and maintain the highest safety and quality protocols. Your leadership will drive efficiency, troubleshoot equipment issues, and uphold compliance with industry regulations such as FDA standards and CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices). This position offers an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of innovative packaging solutions within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Supervise daily operations of the Bag in the Box production line, ensuring smooth workflow and optimal productivity. Operate bag in the box and bottle equipment. Lead and motivate a team of operators, providing training on packaging equipment, safety procedures, and manufacturing protocols. Monitor manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with FDA regulations, CGMP standards, and safety protocols. Troubleshoot mechanical issues with packaging machinery and industrial equipment, implementing timely repairs or escalation as needed. Interpret production documents such as work orders, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and quality control reports to maintain accuracy and consistency. Oversee materials handling activities, including loading, unloading, and storage of raw materials and finished products using material handling equipment like forklifts. Enforce safety standards in production areas, conducting regular inspections and ensuring heavy lifting techniques are followed safely. Maintain accurate production records, logs, and documentation for traceability and quality assurance purposes. Collaborate with maintenance teams on preventative maintenance schedules for packaging equipment to minimize downtime. Ensure warehouse operations align with manufacturing schedules for timely delivery of products.
Experience Proven experience working in a manufacturing facility environment, preferably within packaging or industrial production settings. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot industrial equipment and packaging machinery effectively. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in automated manufacturing processes. Knowledge of FDA regulations, CGMP guidelines, and safety standards applicable to food or pharmaceutical packaging industries. Experience interpreting production documents such as SOPs, work instructions, and quality reports. Ability to operate material handling equipment including forklifts safely; forklift certification is preferred. Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and quality checks in a manufacturing context. Understanding of manufacturing standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols in a high-volume environment. Strong organizational skills with an emphasis on safety protocol adherence during heavy lifting or assembly tasks.
