Discerning quality of parts and materials used in production Inventorying parts and tools used in the assembling process Testing finished products for defects Maintaining tools and a clean workspace Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job resultsIII. ELEMENTS
Element 1- Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Mechanical and technical skills Physical stamina and strength Safety management mindset Focus on quality control Dexterity and hand-eye coordination, including the ability to grasp, manipulate, and assemble parts and components Move and position parts, components, and final assemblies manually or using hoists and cranes Clean and organize workspace and assembly areas Properly store equipment, tools, and materials Understand and adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and regulations Report any machinery malfunctions, damaged parts, or other issues to supervisors promptly Element 2•Education and Experience Previous manufacturing experience High School Diploma or equivalent or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Language Skills Fluent in the English language and have good communication skills. Additional 2nd language in Spanish is preferred but not required. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Element 4
- Complexity Must possess good people skills and the ability to train and conduct problem solving techniques. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Element 5
