Summary OnePointe Solutions is seeking an experienced Amada Laser Operator to operate and maintain CNC laser cutting equipment used in the production of laboratory casework, workstations, and custom fabricated components. This position is responsible for machine setup, material handling, quality inspections, preventative maintenance, and ensuring production schedules are met safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate has experience operating Amada laser systems, reading manufacturing drawings, and working in a sheet metal fabrication environment. Supervisory Responsibilities None. Duties/Responsibilities Operate Amada laser cutting machines safely and efficiently. Load and unload sheet metal using forklifts, cranes, or material handling equipment. Set up machine programs, tooling, and material parameters according to production requirements. Verify material type, thickness, and quantity prior to production. Read and interpret engineering drawings, work orders, and cut files. Inspect parts during and after production to ensure dimensional accuracy and quality standards are met. Identify and report quality concerns, machine issues, or material defects. Perform routine preventative maintenance and daily machine inspections. Maintain production records and accurately report completed work. Work closely with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to resolve manufacturing issues. Organize and maintain raw material and finished part inventory in designated areas. Ensure all scrap and recyclable materials are properly sorted and disposed of. Assist with continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, and productivity. Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S standards. Follow all company safety policies and procedures. Required Skills/Abilities Experience operating Amada laser cutting equipment preferred. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and manufacturing documents. Understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes and material properties. Ability to use measuring tools including tape measures, calipers, and micrometers. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Basic computer skills for machine operation and production reporting. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Forklift experience preferred. Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum 2 years of CNC laser operation experience preferred. Experience in sheet metal manufacturing or fabrication environment preferred. Amada laser experience strongly preferred. Physical Requirements Frequently lift and move materials up to 50 pounds. Stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the workday. Ability to work around manufacturing equipment and moving machinery.
