Job Description

Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of complex machinery to produce high-quality components and products. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, proficiency with CNC programming and automation systems, and experience working within a manufacturing facility. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to efficient production processes, uphold quality standards, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Duties Operate and monitor machinery such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, flexo presses, press brake machines, and fabrication equipment to ensure optimal performance. Set up machines according to technical specifications, blueprints, and work orders using tools such as calipers, micrometers, and precision measuring instruments. Program and troubleshoot CNC equipment utilizing Fanuc controls, CAM programming, CAD software like SolidWorks, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards. Conduct routine inspections of machinery to identify issues early and perform preventive maintenance as needed. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and manufacturing instructions to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly. Handle materials safely within the warehouse or factory environment, utilizing forklifts and other materials handling equipment. Maintain detailed records of production runs, machine settings, and quality control checks for documentation and compliance purposes. Support packaging, assembly line operations, tooling setups, welding tasks, and fabrication activities as required. Ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality standards throughout all manufacturing processes. Skills Proficiency with Fanuc CNC controls and programming languages; experience with CAM programming is preferred. Strong understanding of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in automated manufacturing systems. Hands-on experience with various machine tools including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, press brakes, and fabrication equipment. Ability to read blueprints accurately and apply GD&T principles for precision manufacturing. Mechanical aptitude with knowledge of tooling, hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments. Familiarity with CAD software such as SolidWorks for part design and modifications. Knowledge of manufacturing processes including machining, fabrication, assembly, welding, packaging, and materials handling. Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations related to machining tolerances. Experience working in a factory or manufacturing environment with a focus on quality control standards. Ability to operate warehouse equipment like forklifts safely; prior warehouse experience is advantageous. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot machinery issues efficiently. Good communication skills for collaborating effectively with team members across departments.
